Battle of Fort George
The Battle of Fort George was a battle fought during the War of 1812, in which the Americans defeated a British force and captured the Fort George in Upper Canada. The troops of the United States Army and vessels of the United States Navy co-operated in a very successful amphibious assault, although most of the opposing British force escaped encirclement.
The Makery
The Makery is a new technology room at the newly renovated library in Niagara-on-the-Lake. It
allows children access to high- tech computers, 3-D printers, and hands on help. They will
be able to design, create, and innovate. This is a great way of attracting young minds to come to
the library, to actually learn and become inspired.
Re-enactors - Fort George
Historical re-enactment is an educational or entertainment activity in which people follow a plan to recreate
aspects of a historical event or period. These fine re-enactors spend countless time perfecting their skill
as educational entertainers.
