Mighty Niagara
Niagara-on-the-Lake dazzles many tourists from far and wide. The majority of them wander to
the mouth of the river to photograph this scene, but very seldom do they witness this kind of
amazing spectacle. There is no secret why Niagara is Canada's best destination site: it is
simply beautiful.
Niagara Vigil
Martin Luther King once quoted, "Darkness cannot drive out darkness: Only light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out hate: Only love can do that". That tone was the theme for the vigil. Hundreds
of Niagara residents marched from City Hall to Masjid An-Noor mosque, to pay homage for
our Muslim brothers that were brutally killed in Quebec. As Canadians we must create a unification
in our country so that this sort of barbaric action does not happen again.
A Murmuration
A murmuration of starlings storm Niagara-on-the-Lake in the winter to gather leftover grapes in the vineyards. This is a very
riveting sight to behold. Nature moves in mysterious ways.
Great Horned Owl
Matthew Morgan is a Wildlife Educator for the Canadian Raptor Conservatory. He is holding a
Great Horned Owl, named Will which was raised at the conservatory.
This incredible raptor weights a mere two pounds, and his talons have a force of 420 p.s.i.
They are found throughout North America.
New Years Day
This was a great way of spending the first day of 2017. Skating is Canada's favourite pastime, we basically
invented the sport. Families from the Niagara region enjoyed the sunny day on the ice rink at Fort George.
